 Kathy Gilbert is the Owner/Operator of  Gettysburg Day Spa. She has over 25 years of management experience having graduated from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy with licenses in Cosmetology and Salon Management. Kathy's experience includes Counter Manager for Elizabeth Arden Skin Care and cosmetics and for Clarins Skin Care product line at The Bon Ton and Hechts, respectively. She opened her own nail practice after becoming certified as a Master in acrylic nail application. She has grown Gettysburg Day Spa from Perfect Finish Nails to Nails & Details and now to Gettysburg Day Spa, a full-scale spa experience offering massage, wellness, skin care, hair care, tanning and hair removal services. Kathy is well-versed in all aspects of her business and is licensed to perform many of the services offered by her technicians. She strives to provide an experience worth repeating to all of her clients and genuinely enjoys the salon and spa environment.
 Rebecca Milhimes is the Salon Coordinator for Gettysburg Day Spa. She has been in the salon industry since 2006. Rebecca graduated from Frederick School of Cosmetology and is licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland as a Nail Technician. She also strives to continue her education in salon management by attending seminars when offered. Rebecca chose salon management and her focus as a nail technician because she genuinely loves the salon environment! Rebecca works closely with salon owner, Kathy Gilbert, to meet the needs of each client and takes pride in making sure a client's experience is one worth repeating.
 Mary Graham is a Stylist been in the salon industry since 2005. Mary graduated Cosmetology school with a passion for her profession. She believes achieving true beauty for each of her customers is an art and will take her time with each person to make sure they not only look fabulous but feel fabulous. Mary is a creative individual and is always developing her own techniques in color and cutting. She is a seasoned highlight specialist and will "lighten you up" with flare! Mary participates with Locks of Love and Pantene Beautiful Lengths.
  Raequel Fabio is a Stylist and Make-up Artist who has been in the salon industry since 2000. Raequel graduated from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy with a license in Cosmetology and certifications in aesthetics and make-up. Raquel continues to take classes in aesthetics and make-up application and is well-versed in today's trends and styles. Raequel has her master certification with Jane Iredale make-up in basics and bridal make-up application. As a stylist, Raequel focuses on hair care, finding the right product line to benefit the client's hair type and style. She is proud of her work with Locks of Love and is affiliated with local Pantene Beautiful Lengths charity event at Gettysburg College. Raequel's goal is to make people feel good from the inside out!
 Kelly Riley is a Stylist has gained progressive experience since 2006. Kelly participated in several competitions while in school and placed 2nd in the long hair competition for her bee-hive inspired updo. Kelly specializes in Balayage hair color technique that creates beautiful highlights without foils or the use of a cap. She is well-versed in bridal party hair styling, Thermal Ionic Straightening, and fills-in her schedule with hair removal, pedicures and manicures. Kelly has a natural ability to learn new techniques and create styles from contemporary classic cuts to funky new age styles.

 

 Jen Snyder is a Stylist and Aesthetician with experience in the salon industry since 2000. Jen's passion is hair design using color, highlighting and the right cut and style.  She has an eye for changing appearances and has worked with both men and women in creating new styles.   Jen knows skin care and can consult with any person on using the right products to achieve the look they desire. She has participated in the Wella Colors of the World competition and is now Colors of the
World certified.  She has taught men's haircutting seminars and created styles for wedding shows throughout Baltimore and the D.C. area.
 Kim Zumbrum is a Stylist and Colorist who graduated Empire Beauty School in 2005 and has worked exclusively in area salons.  Kim has become proficient in women and men’s haircutting techniques, highlighting and formal styles. Kim is well-versed in today’s style trends for formal updo’s and the art of achieving wedding day perfection with style. Has extensive experience with color correction and in using Eugene Perma and Euphora product lines. Kim has participated in several Locks of Love haircutting events, the “Miss Hanover” pageant to create winning updo’s and formal styles for the contestants.
 Mindy is a Stylist and Colorist who graduated Jean Madeline Aveda Institute of Cosmetology in Philadelphia, PA. Jean Madeline Aveda Institute is both nationally and internationally recognized as one of the finest in the world with more than 70 years of salon operating experience. While attending Jean Madeline, Mindy participated in one of the most comprehensive cosmetology programs in the United States learning styling, the latest techniques in cutting, color and texture services, skin care, nail technology and makeup application. As a student of Aveda, Mindy received training in the art of rejuvenating clients in body, mind and spirit using Aveda’s full line of earth-friendly products. Has demonstrated experience with Aveda, Euphora, and Eugene Perma.
 

Melliza Taipe is a Massage Therapist who graduated in 2007 from United Education Institute in San Diego, CA with 2 full years of wellness and spa experience.  Melliza is experienced in Chakra stones and in Energy work. While serviing 8 years in the USN with training in Medical and Dental fields, she realized the importance of healthy living and the impact on the body's performance.  Her goal in massage is for client's to understand the importance of treating their body the proper way. Melliza has treated clients with minor headaches to chronic migraines. Her specialties are Swedish, Therapeutic and Cranial Sacral massage.

Melliza shares her training with the students of SHPE - Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers of New York University / Poly Tech. For their quarterly events, "De-Stree with SHPE", Melliza teaches students the importance of touch through massage.

 

Bridget is a Massage Therapist who graduated YTI Career Institute in Mechanicsburg, PA and has worked exclusively in area salons. Bridget has experience with Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, and Prenatal Massage. She enjoys doing customized therapeutic massage and sports massage based on the needs of the client. Bridget is well versed in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology (the study of muscles).

Bridget has experience working with autistic children to help relax hyperactivity often associated with autism in children. She has found that even simple massage can calm the mind and spirit.

 

Rachel Zaukus is a Massage Therapist with experience in sports massage and alleviating aches and pains due to sports related injuries. Rachel has worked closely with the Baltimore Marathon to provide sports massage before, during and after marathons. She focuses her massage on techniques used in electrical stimulation and neuromuscular therapy (NMT).
